The Story of Noor-e-Awadh
Some journeys begin with an idea.
Ours began with a craft.
Our association with Chikankari dates back to 1998. For nearly three decades, we have lived every stage of this timeless art—from design development and block printing to hand embroidery, washing, finishing, quality control, and manufacturing. Over the years, we didn’t just build garments; we witnessed the patience, precision, and dedication that give life to every handcrafted piece.
Behind every Chikankari creation lies a story rarely seen by the world.
A single garment may take three to six months to complete. Every stitch is created by hand, demanding extraordinary patience and skill. A minor mistake can damage months of painstaking work, and every artisan invests not only time but also experience, passion, and hope into each creation. This dedication is what transforms fabric into art.
Working closely with artisans for decades gave us a deeper understanding. Chikankari is not simply an embroidery technique—it is a living heritage carried forward by generations of skilled hands. Yet we also recognized the challenges surrounding this craft: preserving uncompromising quality, supporting artisan livelihoods, maintaining authenticity, and presenting this extraordinary tradition to the world with the respect it truly deserves.
These experiences inspired a new vision.
In 2026, that vision became Noor-e-Awadh.
The name itself carries our philosophy.
“Noor” represents radiance, elegance, and timeless beauty.
“Awadh” represents the land whose rich culture, refinement, and artistic traditions have been celebrated for centuries.
Among the many cultural treasures of Awadh, Chikankari has given the region a distinctive identity recognized across the world. It has become one of the finest expressions of Awadh’s craftsmanship and heritage. Inspired by this enduring connection, we chose the name Noor-e-Awadh—a tribute to the grace and legacy that this remarkable art continues to bring to its homeland.
Our purpose goes beyond creating beautiful clothing.
We exist to preserve authenticity, celebrate craftsmanship, empower artisans, and present the finest expression of Chikankari to a global audience without compromising its heritage. Every collection reflects our commitment to exceptional quality, thoughtful design, and the hands that keep this centuries-old tradition alive.
At Noor-e-Awadh, we believe true luxury is not created by machines—it is created by time, patience, human skill, and generations of knowledge.
